Happy Friday! We’ve come to the end of another lovely week in the Emerald room! The children have learnt so much and have had a fantastic time playing with their friends!

This morning the children enjoyed group time with their educators. We love reading our favourite books and singing our favourite songs! Together we can share meaningful open-ended conversations about books, the weather and what we will be getting up to that day 🙂

The children were excited to join in with yoga today! They helped set up the mats and tried really hard to take off their own shoes and socks. We started with our big gross motor movements to warm up our bodies – lots of jumping and tree poses!

Bonker’s Beat! The children love to join in with our music program! They use our home-made drums to play the beat along to their favourite nursery songs and other songs in the program. What a fun way to encourage fine motor and language skills!

This week the children have been decorating circle shapes to build a set of traffic lights! Today we put them together and talked about the shapes and colours they could see. Then we played a game using the colour red to ‘stop’, yellow to ‘slow down’ and green to ‘go’! We had so much fun 🙂

What a lovely Friday it’s been! The children have enjoyed playing in the sand pit, building towers and fitting shapes through the correct holes! See you next week 🙂
