On this beautiful day, some Aqua explorer started their day off with stretching and perform some of their favourite poses. Meanwhile, other Aqua children were busy practicing their cognitive and social skills through cooking and caring for the babies. Outside at the sandpit, the children enjoyed driving their diggers and trucks around the sandpit.

During literacy group times today, the children revisited days of the week with Donna and sang some of their favourite songs such as ‘5 cheeky monkeys swinging on the tree’. Jack brought some special birthday photos to share with friends. The other group with Helena, the explorers enjoyed listening to stories on CDs and read their favourite story ‘Dirty Bertie!’. Such literacy group time provided opportunities for children to extend on their cognitive and language skills.

At learning centre time today, one group of children made binoculars with Saki with recycle materials. With their newly made binoculars, the children pretended to go on a bear hunt. With Alejandra, the children traced different letters with collage materials. With Donna, the little artists painted beautiful daffodils with Donna as part of spring. With Helena, the children explored beats and rhythms with Bonker’s monkey and drum.

Outside the little explorers pretended to drive cars around the yard. They also practiced their physical skills through climbing jumping and running.

The Aqua explorers had such a busy day today.
