Happy Monday everyone! On this grey morning, the Aqua explorers started their day off with various activities. Some explorers extended on their physical skills through Yoga. With Alejandra, the explorers performed different poses whilst relaxing their body. Outside, the children expressed their creativity at the drawing and Lego table. The colourful race track was also popular with children driving their cars around. Some explorers enjoyed a challenge at the puzzle table.

The Aqua explorers were divided into three group for literacy group time. With Nelson, they read some of their favourite stories and had conversation about their weekend activities. With Liza, the children enjoyed listening to stories from CDs and sang songs with props. Another group of children also enjoyed looking at stories with Bambi. Experiences such as these provided opportunities for children to extend their cognitive and language skills.

During learning centre time, the Aqua explorers were invited to different activities. At Bambi’s table, the explorers were busy rolling up papers to make binoculars. They love using the binoculars like the real explorers! With Alejandra the children were invited to put the alphabet puzzle together. Some children recognise the printed letters and were able to put the puzzle together. At Liza’s table, the explorers kicked off Diwali celebration with fire work painting. They recycled the paper roll in this experience and were excited to see the prints on the paper. In the yard, the explorers practiced T-ball. The explorers practice aiming and hitting the ball with the bat.

The Aqua explorers had so much fun today.
