Happy Monday everyone! On this hot day, the Aqua explorers started their day off with lots of water play. In the yard, explorers were busy exploring the animal ice tray. They had so much fun melting the ice and pretend play with animals. At the sandpit, the girls were busy making cakes and stew while the boys were digging holes for their vehicles. Inside, Alejandra invited children to relax and stretch with yoga.

After morning tea, the explorers were divided into three groups, in their literacy groups, the children read some of their favourite stories and started practicing Christmas songs with their educators. Literacy group time such as these provided opportunities for children to extend on their cognitive and language skills.

During learning centre time, the children were invited to extend their cognitive skills through puzzles. At the play dough table, the explorers practiced their counting skills by making the number balls on the flash cards. At the yard, the children practiced their gross motor skills by playing T-ball with Nelson. With Bambi the children made butterfly with collage paper. The Aqua children continued to explore the water activities.

As the weather is getting hotter, please apply sunscreen on your child prior coming into Aqua, thank you.
