Today, our Emerald children had a great time doing different activities. We started with group times, where we were singing, reading books and playing with the different props from the sensory box.
We continued with NAIDOC activities. We loved drawing in the sand. We have been provided with pictures with different Aboriginal symbols and used these as inspiration.
Our babies were making their own snakes painting with yellow, black and red paint. They loved the feeling of the cold paint on their fingers. The children in Emerald, have the opportunity to facilitate their sensory skills with the play dough every day. They manipulate with different tools each day and extend their fine motor skills.
Our older children went to Aqua for transition. They love spending time there, exploring the room and meeting new teachers and children. They were invited to make their own bumble bee paintings as well as Aboriginal flag hand prints.
