What a fun day at BBC today. It was a special day and we went to the Crimson yard for an incursion called, Playing with Poems” The man introduced himself by telling us ‘’Hi I am Hugh’’. He was so funny and told us lots of different poems. He had so many props to use. When he brought out the spider we sang ‘’Incy Wincy Spider’’, he made dinosaurs with paper and Teos and Euan’s eyes lit up as they love them.

Hugh then took out a puppet. He started to say a poem that we knew very well. He made us laugh so much while we recited ‘’There Was an Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly” along with him. We really enjoyed this incursion and by participating we are developing social skills, language skills and showed our cognitive skills by remembering the poems with Hugh.

We also develop our confidence when participating in Incursions. Today Veronique, Fred and Lachlan C very bravely stood up and said some poems with Hugh and Crimson children. Well done Aqua children!!

The children had fun exploring lots of different areas inside and outside today. After lunch and while our little friends slept, the older children participated in Yoga with Alejandra. This activity helps the children’s concentration and bring a sense of calmness and relaxation. It also enhances our flexibility, strength, coordination and body awareness.

Have a lovely sunny Thursday!!
