What a beautiful Thursday we have had in Emerald!

This morning the children participated in group times to get us ready for the day! We welcomed everyone to Emerald, sang songs and read books with Liza and with Cindy! Then we went on a learning adventure!

Today Burns Bay Cottage was visited by a lovely man named Hugh, who introduced us to the world of poems and rhyming words. The incursion ‘Playing with Poems’ was so much fun! The children all laughed so much! Hugh was so funny, he used lots of props and puppets, songs and rhymes to capture the children’s interest. They were engaged for the whole time and loved every minute!

This incursion was a fun way to encourage the children’s speech and language development, in addition to their communication skills and social development! Thankyou Hugh for such a fun morning learning about poems!

During free play today, the children had a great time role playing in the home corner, driving around in the yard in the cars, playing in the sand pit and building with the plastic and wooden blocks!

A fun-filled day had by all!! 😊
