Happy Friday from us in Emerald! And what a lovely day we’ve had to end a fabulous week 😊
This morning the children enjoyed group time where we read some beautiful books that helped us count Australian animals and helped us learn all about fruit and vegetables!
Yoga was lots of fun this morning! The children are always excited to get started and are always very helpful with collecting the yoga mats and taking their shoes and socks off to get stuck in. Yoga is great for promoting physical development and gross motor skills. Keep up the good work guys!
Today the children practiced their fine motor skills by drawing with pencils. We used our problem-solving skills and hand-eye coordination to put puzzles back together and we got spooky with some amazing Halloween themed and cinnamon scented playdough that had spiders in it! How scary!
Sensory activities, such as playdough, stimulate the children’s sense of touch, smell, taste and sight that encourages the children to use their senses to play, create, investigate and explore!
stimulates a child’s sense of touch, smell, taste, sight or hearing. Today we are playing with Play Dough to encourage using our senses to play, create, investigate and explore! Playing with play dough also supports language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving skills and social interaction.
Have a lovely weekend! See you next week 😊
