Happy Wednesday from us in Emerald room! We’ve had a lovely day full of fun and craft!
The children have really been enjoying ‘Cranky Bear’ this week and insist that we read it every day, along with some of our other favourites! Group time is a lovely way for the children to welcome their friends and sing together. It encourages social and emotional development as well as speech and language.
Liza lead our yoga session this morning and the children were very engaged! They practiced their gross motor movements through yoga poses and worked on their balance and coordination. Yoga is fantastic for physical and cognitive development, well done to everyone for joining in!
We have done a lot of Christmas craft today! We made Santa with MeiTing, Santa hats with Liza, Christmas trees with our student Sara and a group painting of a Christmas wreath with July and Robyn. All of these art projects are a lovely way to promote fine motor skills, sensory play and are a fun introduction to Christmas! The children have all had fun getting messy today!
The children love to dance … and today was no exception! We practiced Bonker’s Beat today and lots of other songs where the children are able to show us their dance moves and knowledge of the music we listen to everyday!
Thanks for a fantastic day! 🙂
