Aqua daily diary 19th December, 2019
I can’t believe that Christmas is already next week. (O.O)
While our fauna and flora is in a state of emergency, our little ones from Aqua continue their living and learning at BBC.
I hope everyone is doing all right today.
Despite being another smoky day, we still had some play outside early in the morning. We are truly concerned about our little ones’ health and wellbeing. Thus, we all stayed inside for a large portion of the day.
So let’s see what was on for today, after having all children singing the good morning song, they were separated in to small groups to do some activities with teachers or simply participate in one of the set up activities inside, such as trains, mobilo, lego, doll house, fire department, or rice tray.
Some children had to decorate their own Christmas tree by cutting from a magazine the gifts they wanted and pasting. Other children had to decorate their photo cards with stickers. Such lovely art crafts.
For free play outside there was Ivaan was proudly showing his collection of sand eggs to his friends and also Max Roberts, Teos, and Euan making a swimming pool to put some chocolate in it. Inside we had Adeline patting Holly, boys on a dog race to get to the couch, some children playing with the train tracks. In addition, Veronique and Eleanor decorating the doll house, Shona, Charlotte, and Edward fixing the “table”. Finally, a matching game, similar to bingo, in which children had cards with some figures and were asked, “who has got a (certain figure)?” Children then had to look at their figures and see who had it.
“Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening to words but by experiences in the environment.” – Maria Montessori
