The children started their morning off in the garden exploring a variety of activities. Charlie and Henry enjoyed some time reading books together. Isla had fun sliding down the slide. Issac used the phone to call his Mum. Charlotte and Adeline really enjoyed the dolls and pretending to be their teachers. We brought them outside to the cubby house and they had so much fun. They dressed the dolls and patted them to sleep.
Because the weather warm, we did Yoga outside. The children copied the pose Alejandra is doing. They are also learning the yoga pose’s name in Spanish.
During Learning Centre time, the children had the option to play with a sensory tray. It was filled with rosemary and flowers to represent Anzac Day. They loved scooping and pouring the rice into the bowls.
With Donna, the children helped clean Popcorn our fish. They gave him some food when they were finished.
At group time, the children had the opportunity to be soldiers and marched around the room with the whole troop (their friends) . They really enjoyed it.
We have talked a lot about the soldiers who protected the country. We spoke about the uniform. Lily was found with a bowl as a hat on and a cloak on and saying ‘’Look Donna, I am a soldier’’. It is great to see their learning in their play.
We are learning the letter ‘’A’’ and ask the children to look at home and find an object that starts with letter A.
