Happy Tuesday! We’ve had such a busy day today!
This morning we started with group time! The children were in a reading mood today, we read so many books together! Books are a lovely way to enhance speech and language, as well as a perfect opportunity to ask lots of open-ended questions!
After group time, it’s always time for yoga! The children love to collected the mats and get stuck in. We started today with lots of big jumps and other gross motor movements, like the tree pose! The children are getting so good, they can run the session on their own!
We’ve been getting crafty today! With Mother’s Day coming up soon, the children want to make sure they’ve got lots of lovely drawings and paintings for mum! We don’t want to ruin the surprise too much though … but here’s a sneak peek!
The children have been enjoying drawing around their hands! Together we drew around their hands and then they had a go on their own and even tried drawing around Robyn’s hand! This was a fun little activity, following the children’s interests, that can promote fine motor skills and spacial awareness!
The children participated in a ‘baking’ experience today with Helena! Today they made their own play dough! This was great fun; with lots of mixing and pouring – developing our motor skills and language too!
In other news … we are forming a band …
And how good are dinosaurs?
But seriously … We’ve all had a lovely day playing with bubbles, building towers and dancing!
Thank you for another fantastic day! 🙂
