We started our day with stretching in yoga allowing ourselves to get ready for the day. Celina, Eve and Poppy did good stretching.
In our group time, we sang morning songs and read the stories with Nelson and Mohini developing the sense of belonging. Similarly, the group time enhances children’s language development.
During learning center, children enjoyed exploring the torch and its parts followed by creating their own version of torch light using textas and then decorating them. The experience enhances children’s learning dispositions about lights and light source along with their fine motor skills.
Similarly, children loved making the footprints by getting their feet paint. They enjoyed and giggled by sensing tickles from the paint brush while getting their feet paint. Kavya, Adeline and Lily shared their giggles together and compared their foot prints.
Outside, children pretended to become a frog where they had to jump from, one purple pad to another like a frog and then had to touch the orange cone. The activity promotes children anticipating skills as well as their gross motor skills.
During self selected activities, our chefs enjoyed making cup cakes from play dough whilst 3 little pigs built their houses to be safe from the wolf. Similarly, some children enjoyed the bus ride from Jeffery whereas some children enjoyed manipulating magnetic connectors. This allows children to develop their sense of agency, self identities and self confidence.
Have a lovely weekend dear friends and families. And please do bring something for the letter “K”.
