The Aqua explorers started this beautiful day with self-select activities. The sand tray with construction vehicles was a hit with the explorers. They enjoyed scooping sand, transferring their load onto other vehicle. Such experience allow children to facilitated cognitive, social and language skills as they experiment with volume, turn taking and talking about their play. During Yoga session, the children enjoyed stretching to different poses to extend on their physical skills.
Just before learning centre time, the children enjoyed some of their favourite stories with Liza and Nelson. The Aqua children enjoyed counting to cheeky monkey with Nelson while with Liza, they couldn’t wait to see what is in her treasure bag.
After literacy group time, the children were invited to a variety of learning centres. With Alejandra, the children practice letter recognition by finger painting different alphabet letters. Meanwhile, others enjoyed easel painting with Helena. With Nelson, the children practiced their physical skills with a complicated obstacle course. The Aqua explorers extended on their interest in light and shadows by making a torch collage with Liza.
The Aqua explorers had such a busy day today!
