Happy Tuesday Aqua!! Welcome back to Emily, we are very happy to see you at Aqua again. You explored well and enjoyed threading using your fine motor skills. You played very nicely with your peer Alexia also, showing you are already comfortable being back in the environment.
Alice, Elaria and Alexa also showed their every developing fine motor development and concentration skills when they spent time threading today.
Marshmallow the hamster came for a visit today. The children love to watch him move about and some children are brave enough to pat him. The children are encouraged to be gentle with him and use soft hands. They watched as he ate his carrots that we got from the office.
Group times today are full of nursery rhymes, the children display cognitive skills when they remember they words and language development as they sing nice and loud.
Learning Centre time was very busy. The children had a gross motor activity, they used large muscles in their legs to jump over the cones. Some children were unable to get their feet to move from the floor but had fun participating. They also are learning turn taking skills.
With Helena the children painted their hands as they are making many different jungle animals. they repeated the colour brown for her and some children could recognise the colour.
With Donna, some of the children enjoyed language development as they listened to stories of their choice. ‘’Goldilocks and the Three Bears’’ is one of their favourite books.
Lots of exploring and pretend play happening throughout the day.
