It is so good to see the sun back today. The children have been enjoying time outside after being stuck indoors for the past two days.
In the cubby house Saige, Georgia and Elise had a tea party. It was wonderful to see them play so nicely together. They are great friends and love spending time together in Aqua.
Sensory play is wonderful for children to explore together. It will help develop many skills, language, social skills, fine motor development, and helps stimulate children’s senses. Today many children enjoyed the rice box set out for learning centre time. They used their fine motor skills and scooped and poured. They all chatted to each other or their teacher about what they were doing.
With Helena the children made zebra’s, they used marbles and black paint to make his stripes. The children laughed as they saw the marks they made while they used their fine motor skills to roll them back and forward.
Nelson’s group continue to develop large muscles and coordination skills. They jump as high as they can over the stepping stones and then kick the ball into the net.
Rosanna, had a big que of children as she made some lovely pictures of the children’s favourite cartoon characters on their hands. James was so excited with his superman and batman. The children love when Rosanna come to visit as they know that she will bring her paints.
Isabelle and Amelia enjoyed some time in the sandpit together. They happily shared the space and made sand cakes Isabelle said.
Adeline had fun in this space also, taking some time to herself, she made some wonderful sand castles with a small cup on the table. She loved it, especially when she made so many and then squished them with her hand.
Lot’s of outdoor play today, it was a fun sunny day!!
