Today was a very warm and sunny day. The children have enjoyed exploring in the
Sandpit, they used their fine motor skills to scoop and place the sand in the bucket. Emily and Alexia worked very hard together and made cakes for each other. it was so nice listening to them play together and tell each other ‘’I will make one for you’’ ‘’ I Love you’’. Jake also enjoyed feeling the sand run through his fingers.
At group times the children sat in 2 large groups first, they use listening skills as the teacher reads some stories for them. We continue to learn about the different weather and the days of the week. The children are getting very good at showing us, 7 fingers on their hands.
Donna has props with all our favourite nursery songs. The children display confidence as they hold the props and sing in front of the group. Today Alice, Emily, Alexia, Harvey and Elise became the monkeys, while Elaria was the tree and Edward the crocodile. They stood nice and proud and sang the song for us. Well done Aqua children.
After our large groups, we split into small groups and start learning centre. with Donna we are listening to the ‘’Very Hungry Caterpillar’’ story. We are learning to keep our bodies strong and what helps us to stay healthy. The children made some Apples, Pears, Plums and strawberries, as they are everyday food.
Some children enjoyed puzzles with Rosanna, and with Nelson some cutting development.
Helena’s group were talking about the weather and then made some big rain drops. Our new friend Sara was so eager to join in and did some lovely painting.
We would love to welcome Sara and Annabel, who have joined us from Emerald, welcome to Aqua.
They enjoyed exploring the room and getting to know new peers and new teachers, they already display confidence within the room.
Have a lovely sunny Tuesday Aqua families!!
