Today we had another fun, warm day at Aqua and the children continued to enjoy sand play with our new friend Thomas who has joined BBC. They showed him how they love to transport the trucks around this area.
Lily and Adeline still enjoy as much time in the home corner with the dolls. They love pretending to be the Mums of the babies. They change their nappies and put them to bed.
Charlie and Henry are the best of friends and always together, today they enjoyed time building together with the small blocks. They used fine motor skills and made a big house.
The children are all doing so well at large group times and can now sit and concentrate for up to half an hour.
At learning centre time the children were very busy. With Donna we are learning what food is healthy and how to grow. We read and explore the ‘’Very Hungry Caterpillar’’ book daily and have been putting a display together for the wall. Today some of the children made butterflies because the caterpillar got big from eating healthy food and turns into one.
With Liza the children developed cutting skills and tried to cut in a straight line.
With Helena the children made a big cloud as they continue to learn all about different weather. They are making a storm cloud with rain drops.
Outside there was lots happening, with Teacher Thomas the children polished off some balancing skills. They walked on the stepping stones and crawled on the beam.
James, Leo, Oscar and Jeffrey also played with small blocks with cars.
Inside Adeline became a teacher and read a book for Liza and lots of her friends.
Have a lovely rest of your Wednesday evening Aqua families.
