It’s another beautiful day, the sun is shining and the children are having lots of fun at Aqua today.
When the children arrive at BBC, they sit and eat their breakfast together, it is nice to hear all the conversation happening around the table. The children talk about what they did with their parents when they went home yesterday and what they had for dinner.
Outside this morning, Nelson, Oscar and Evan built cars and buses with the mobile blocks. In the sandpit Saige and Isla where talking about building a big house, while Edward transported the fire engine around, he made the noise as he did, ‘’Nee-naw, Nee-naw’’.
Isla and Georgia developed mathematics skills as they placed the pom-poms onto the number cards. They also are developing fine motor skills.
Henry and Charles made some rockets with the magnets, while Adeline became the helper and helped Donna with the display.
Inside, children joined Alejandra for some yoga. They relaxed their body and mind, getting ready for the day ahead. Lily and Charlotte made a birthday cake for Donna and asked me to blow the candles out.
At group times, Elaria brought another book to share today and helped Donna read it. Henry brought his book for letter ‘’R’’,. Thanks Henry. With Donna the children spoke about healthy eating and how to keep our bodies healthy.
At learning centre time there was lots of little scientist, with Donna today the children made a traveling rainbow. They watched as the colours went from one cup to the other. with Alejandra the children used milk, food colouring and washing up liquid. When they dipped the cotton bud in the colours spread out and make many colours.
With Nelson they continue to do gross motor development and with Katherine the children made rainbow’s on the paper.
Some of the children enjoyed watering the plants with the syringes we used for science experiments.
What a fun day it was at Aqua today. The children are really enjoying science week.
