Today we are happy it is a sunny day. It is lovely to hear the children all outside playing, laughing, running and jumping.
Outside there was lots of areas being explored, Thomas enjoyed time playing with the ball, while Hamish made a house for himself in the cubby, he made a door and went inside. Clever Hamish.
Oscar, Edward, Isaac, Leonardo and Levi W really enjoyed the area with the dinosaurs, they made some roaring sounds, and chatted with each other about the houses Nelson made for them. Alexia and Emily sat together under the trees and read some books. The ladies love being together and are always seeing playing nicely.
Inside Annabel and Isabelle enjoyed some time with teacher Sarah reading some stories. Isla and Elise had fun building houses together. Sara enjoyed time inside also.
At group time, the children sit in two separate groups. They sing the good morning song and welcome everyone to school. The also do the seven days of the week song. They try to show us 7 fingers and are getting very good at holding them up. Elaria brought a book to share and loves sitting helping Donna be the teacher.
Learning centre time is full of fun activities. With Rosanna the children made some yellow playdough.
Helena’s group had so much fun making dinosaur prints on paper.
Outside with Donna’s group the children enjoyed play with syringes and coloured water. The children are learning how to pull on the syringe to get the water inside. It was quite difficult at the start but then by the end and some support from Donna, nearly all children could do it. Well Done Aqua!
What a fun activity with Teacher Lisa and Nelson. The children became different vehicles and drove around the road. When Lisa showed them red they had to stop, when they were shown green they could go. This activity not only encourages interest from children, it also teachers safety on the road.
What a fun day at Aqua today!
