This morning was like no other, the children were playing both inside and outside and there was lots of laughter heard all around the Aqua room.
We have welcomed new children from Emerald. They are already settling well and joining in on activities in the room.
Henry started his morning with Isla and Alejandra, he loves building with the blocks and today made some wonderful roads for us.
Outside Evelyn, Oscar and Annabel made towers with Liza with small blocks.
Harvey really has a great interest in the dinosaurs, not only does he like making dens for them to hide in, he also knows everyone by name. How clever he is! Not to long into the morning Leonardo came to school looking a little different, he was dressed as a pterodactyl and of course Harvey was the first to greet him.
Lots of exploring outdoor with the wooden blocks, the sandpit area. Leo and Isaac held their very own group time calling people to the mat.
Group time, we split into 3 groups.
With Donna the children are learning about bird’s, we spoke about the bird nest and explored one. We also spoke about how the mommy and daddy bird needs to find food to feed babes and decided we would recycle our Milk cartoons to make bird feeders for our garden.
When we split into small groups with the children their was so many learning experiences happening.
The children painted the milk cartons for the feeders. While with Helena they drew their own spring pictures using colouring pencils.
With Liza the children were creative and painted and made some watermelon, learning about the importance of making healthy choices for fuel for our bodies.
With Nelson the children were learning body awareness and had to move their bodies through the cones without hitting them.
Our new friend Harry really enjoyed Liza watermelon making hahahaha!!
What a fun Tuesday.
