Happy Monday everyone! The Aqua explorers started their day off with different activities. Inside, the explorers stretched and performed different yoga poses, they loved relaxing with yoga. At the puzzle table, the children were busy practicing their cognitive skills by putting the puzzle together. Some children used trial and error, while others matched the colour pieces to put the puzzle together.

During literacy group time today, the explorers were excited to have their photo taken as they were dressed up for concert filming. It was lovely to see the explorers in Christmas colours and thank you to all the parents! The children were divided into three groups for story time. While one group had their last minute concert practice before filming, the other groups read some of their favourite stories with Alejandra and Nelson.  Literacy group time provided opportunities for children to extend their cognitive and language skills.

At learning centre today:

The explorers extended their physical skills by walking along balancing beam and steppingstones.

With Helena, the children participated in a parachute game to extend their social, cognitive and language skills. The explorers listened attentively to instruction given throughout the game and enjoyed making faces to each other when we lift the parachute up high. The children also explored direction through ‘ringo ringo rosie’ with parachute and they love going underneath it!

At the table in the yard, children refined their fine motor skills with drawing.

On the deck, the children were engaged in constructing with Legos and magnetic blocks.

At the sandpit, the children were busy digging and running their vehicles around.

The Aqua explorers had such a busy day today!

P.S. just a reminder about hats and water bottles, please bring a hat and water bottle for your child as the weather is getting hotter. Thank you!
