It’s Monday! Welcome back to another week in the Emerald room 😊 The children have enjoyed fun fine motor activities and arts and crafts!

We had so much fun in our group time with MeiTing this morning! She used her guitar to play our favourite nursery rhymes so that we could sing-a-long! Musical instruments are a great way to engage children in social interaction and language development!

Let’s kick off the week with yoga! The children used their strong legs to jump and their long arms to reach up high 😊 We moved our bodies to enhance our physical development, gross motor skills and balance!

With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, we wanted to help the children understand more about Irish culture and the world we live in through creative arts and crafts! Today the children used green glitter paint to decorate a shamrock for St. Patrick’s Day! Together we talked about how the 3 leaves of a shamrock stand for faith, hope and love … and the fourth leaf is where the luck comes from!

We’ve had a lovely Monday in the Emerald room! The children used their fine motor skills to grip pencils for drawing and to scoop ping pong balls with spoons! What fun 😊
