Good afternoon, Crimson families! Today we have extended discussions and activities relating to our current community situation. As we aim to raise awareness amongst children and also ourselves, we have chosen to share more information about “Coronavirus” and how is it spreading fast.

The educators have shared about how coronavirus are easily spread through close contact, poor hygiene and air transmission. And as the discussion went on, children also had something to say and contribute.

Maksym, “Wash your hands everyday!”

Max W., “You need to wash your hands properly before you eat.”

Arda, “when you wash your hands, you need to count to 20.”

Shona, “Also cover your mouth when you cough and sneeze!”

Max R., “We should stay in our house.”

Teos, “We should not share food to others.”

The children have had wonderful ideas as they learn from group sharing and brainstorming. As we dig deeper into this topic, they start to discover that everyone can contribute in helping to stop the spread of germs in our community.

Moving on, the children also have had the chance to direct their own play whilst promoting positive social interaction. Arda and Maksym worked together to build a car park whilst Belian worked on making his own car wash.

Archie on the other hand, enjoyed cutting and used other recyclable materials to make his own mask.

Others had chosen to focus on building and construction as well as in creative arts.
