Hello, Crimson families. Children had another great day, explored around the Crimson room and engaged in various learning experiences. Just a quick reminder to families: we like to remind you to bring a hat for your child. And please write your child’s name on it. Thank you.
During group time, we gathered on the mats and went over the Crimson rules, talking about the importance of sharing, taking turns and helping each other. After, we listened to our friend’s news. Today, Lily, Thomas and Arya presented us with the news.
Lily – showed us craft. She explained “I made butterfly and dragon from toilet paper rolls with my mummy. I put pink wings. I hold that with strings in my hands. This butterfly is only found in Australia.
Arya – showed us a flag. She said “It’s a flag of India made by me and my mummy. My dad got a stick from garden and helped me made it. I made this flag to show my love for India.
Thomas – showed us two bangles. He explained “My mummy and I made them at home. We used some chemicals and food colouring. They are both circle shape and have 5 different colours.”
Thank you, Lily, Arya and Thomas to share the news! The topic for this week is ‘Countries of interest’. Ideas include traditional clothes, pictures, flags, books about the country or written in the language of the country.
After, it was time for the learning centre.
Children who decided to stay inside had a chance to explore the flags of the countries of the world. They looked at each country’s flag and guessed which one belonged to which country. Most of the children were able to answer the Australian flag!! After, Euan, Arya, Belian, and Nicky worked very hard to draw their favourite flags. Oscar W, Ava and Jack were busy making cookies with playdough.
The children chose to spend their time on the decks enjoyed constructions. Thomas, Max W, Ryan, Imri and Archie enthusiastically built a supercar with Mobilo. Max and Oscar were busy building roads and cities with wooden blocks. In the sandpit, children used their imagination to build a tower.
At meditation time, children were gone, and instead, there were many superheroes sitting there. What a surprise!!!!! Thank you Nicky for bringing masks and for sharing them with your friends!! Children had a discussion about how we can help each other.
Jack: I will help by collecting paper and put it in the recycling bin.
Oscar W: I will give drinks to my friends on a hot day like today.
Arya: I will give a water cup to my friends.
Lily: I will fight with my friends.
Julia: I know Peter Parker is a spiderman!
A big thank you to all the children who helped tidy the shelves!
Thank you for a fun Tuesday. See you tomorrow.
