Hello, Crimson families. We spent the day following our usual routine so that the children could stay relaxed and not worry too much.
During group time, we reinsure the importance of hygiene. Children could list out some practices like washing hands or not sharing foods.
After, we listened to our friend’s news. The topic for this week and next week and ‘Spring season’. All children are welcome to bring something that is associated with spring. Some of the examples are flowers, animals, drawings, pictures, and books etc….
Teos brought a flower. Everyone wanted to smell it, so he walked up to everyone and let them have a go. Alexia also brought a bouquet of flowers that she had picked at the church on the way. It was very cute and everyone loved it. Viraj told us a story about a man who went to pick up flowers. Evelyn shared 3 books with us. They were all related to spring and she said the ‘Bee my friend’ book is her sister’s favourite book. So, we decided to read that book.
After, children were divided into two groups and worked in different areas.
In the room, a group of children continued to explore emotions. Children were asked various questions and were encouraged to express their thought in the group. When Arturo asked the question “What can we do when someone is angry”, some children said “Ask what happened.”, others said, “Tell the teacher.”
On the deck, another group of children enjoyed participated in spring theme activities. Some of them painted flowers, while others worked on flower planting activities.
Stay safe everyone!
