Tuesday 12th October
Good Morning Magenta families and hope your start to this wet Tuesday is going well.
We had another relaxing start to the day watching the rain falling onto our playground and talking about how the rain water will help our plants grow.
We also read some stories about the rain and where it comes from and what happens with the rain cycle. Over the next few weeks we will be introducing the rain cycle with our Magenta children as they have been showing an interest in storms and the changing weather and a rainy day is a great opportunity to spark this discussion on where does rain come from.
For group time we read some of our favourite stories and sung our favourite songs.
We also had Miss Cheryl’s dance group. It was so lovely as the children moved their bodies and copied the actions to both fast and slow music. Dance is a great way to provide opportunities for gross motor and concentration in a fun and exciting way.
Some of our other activities today were mini sandpit world with sand where we were planting plants, home corner reading, animal play dough, magnetic blocks, home corner, playdough and popsicle sticks creations and craft collage.
Hope you have a lovely evening and see you all tomorrow,
