Happy Monday! Welcome back to another week in the Emerald room 😊 We are super-excited to start off the week and continue learning more about Halloween!

Let’s start the morning with group time! The children were engaged and listening very well to Jasmine during her group time this morning. They sat and interacted with each other and their educators by playing games and singing songs together!

We shrugged off the cobwebs (Halloween pun intended) and moved our bodies during our yoga session with Cindy! The children loved showing off what they have been learning and teaching Cindy their moves. We stretched up high and warmed up our muscles with gross motor movements and animal poses.

The children got creative with some spooky Halloween arts and crafts. We used our find motor skills to scrunch and tear the orange tissue paper to decorate our pumpkins! The children enjoyed using black paper for their eyes and mouth.

Then we painted some Witch’s hats with black paint! We have been learning about Witches by reading one of our favourite Halloween books ‘Meg and Mog’!

Today has been great fun! The children built tall towers with wooden blocks and practiced their scooping with ping-pong balls and spoons!

Happy Birthday to one of our newbies, Hughie! We loved singing ‘Happy Birthday’ and sharing Hugh’s special day with him 😊
