Happy Tuesday everyone and what a great day it has been here in the Magenta room.
We started our day off with some spooky music and a little dancing to get the Halloween celebrations going. Tima’s giant spider has also been hiding in the garden and we have all been using it to scare each other with hiding it in different locations around the garden.
For group time we have been reading our scary books and chatting about how Halloween is a great time to get dressed up and not to be afraid because its just our friends and family wearing costumes like the costumes in home corner we use when we are paying dress ups.
Isla: I can dress up as a cheeky witch.
Alannah: I can dress up as a ghost and trick everyone saying BOO
Thomas: I can dress up as a dinosaur and stomp my loud feet.
We are also getting so good at our Halloween songs, they are so funny and are a great way to teach about memory skills and music rhythm.
For our activities today we had spooky bats with magic colours to help them fly during the night on their way to celebrate Halloween, We also finished off our spooky mummies for yesterday and made some witches magic potion. Spooky playdough with spiders and flowers for the spiders to hide in, We also played a game of listen to my voice.
Levi: I’m making a Halloween pumpkin that is going to be the scariest of them all
Saige: My mummy is going to have 10 bandages o them for the Halloween disco costume
Elaria: My bat has so many colours he can see really well in the night time because he is so bright.
Alice: My bat has two red eyes to see when he flies at night time to the Halloween party.
some of our other activities today were home corner which has now become our witches castle, mini sandpit world with trucks and diggers, large building blocks for building our Halloween disco, mini leggo blocks to enhance our fine motor skills and reading mat,
what a great Tuesday and see you all tomorrow.
