Hello, Crimson families. It is getting hotter and hotter! Therefore, we would have more chances to have water play. Please ensure to pack spare clothes (including underwear) in your child bag. And also please talk to your child to bring a sun smart hat every day so they can play in the yard or the sandpit. Thank you.

During group time, we gathered on the mat and listened to our friends’ news. The topic for this week and next week is ‘Halloween’. All children are welcome to bring books, photos, costumes, or share stories.

Teos – hat

“This is my witch hat. My sister has a witch hat too. I know a witch is a girl, a wizard is a boy.”

Arda – Lego

“I have lots of Legos which are very scary. There is a man who doesn’t have legs because I took his legs off.  Which one do you wanna choose?”

Archie – lantern

“I got a pumpkin with eyes. I am going to make everyone scared.”

Eddie – doll

“I have a scary jocker. I got it from the shop. My mum bought it for me because I liked it.”

Ava-Rose – hat

“My hat is a witch hat. This hat is made with spider web. My sister Isabelle has the same one too.”

Jack A – costume

“I am pirate today. I got it when I saw dad.”

After that, it was time to go learning centre time.

In the yard, children were so busy finishing making the entrance for the haunted house. After Arturo had cut out the shape, children worked together to paint in black. While they were painting, they talked about where would be the best place to put a haunted house and its entrance. Eventually, they agreed to leave a haunted house in the yard and display the entrance at the entrance gate to the Crimson room.

On the deck, another group of children were so excited to make witch’s magic potions. Children combined magic power and magic water to make their special brew and added bugs such as spiders, snakes, Scorpions and googly eyes.

Have a wonderful afternoon everyone! See you tomorrow.
