Good Morning to our wonderful Magenta families. We are having a great start to our week.
For group time today we read the story Santa Koala and have begun to discuss the festive season that is coming up Christmas as we have noticed many of our children have been discussing this amongst themselves. Tima posed the question what does the word Christmas mean to you and what do you think of when you hear the word Christmas.
Charlie: Christmas is Santa’s day to go on his sleigh for Christmas.
Levi: Santa has toys for all the children in Magenta.
Amelia: And Santa has all toys for all the children in Lane Cove
Emmeline.L. And Christmas has a Christmas tree to light up the whole world
Henry: Christmas is Santa’s family giving him cuddles and a Christmas tree.
As a group we started discussing the Christmas tree in the story and how it is covered in all kinds of decorations. We then decided to make our own tree collage filled with Christmas Joy.
Saige: My Christmas tree has many lights and Christmas decorations to show Santa i decorated my tree.
Elaria: My Christmas tree has a silver star at the top to look beautiful and bring Christmas lights to Santa’s workshop.
Alannah: My tree had a yellow and silver star so Santa and my mummy can have a tree decoration to share with my family.
Some of our other activities today were rainbow butterfly craft, drawing, matching cards, car tracks, garden wooden house, painting as well as fit and funky kids to extend our gross motor skills.
What a great day had by all, see you all tomorrow.
