Circle time can be a fun time to bond with infants and toddlers. It allows time during the day for the children to connect with each other and their caregivers. Circle time encourages listening, talking, and sharing among the children and modeling opportunities for the teacher. Also, it encourages the development of social skills by providing daily, structured social interactions. Various circle time activities give the children opportunities to enhance their language and gross motor skills.
So what a better way to start our day then with the group time especially if we add props. Once group time was finished children were invited to join for yoga session. It is wonderful to see children showing their listening skills by following the instructions from their teachers.
Sand play is always fun no matter what we have in the sand pit. Today children enjoyed pretend play cooking in the sand. They made a cake and sang “Happy Birthday”.
To practice our fine motor skills we pushed the straws through the small holes on the box. It is such a simple activity but very beneficial for our little hands.
Children were also invited to show their drawing skills, to build the towers with blocks and to give a pat to our Marshmallow.
